The study found that 62% of U.S. home buyers use or plan to use online sites to find open houses, compared with 53% who use/plan to use information from real estate agents, 36% who use/plan to use neighborhood signs and less than one-third (31%), who use/plan to use print sources, including newspapers.”   That said, at LINKS, we do use a combination of all of those resources. We will place your home in premium positions on the largest selection of websites available including Newsday.com, Optimum Homes, Homefinders.com, realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, and over 1000 websites in all, some through broker reciprocity. We also customize print campaigns in a variety of publications such as Newsday, The Long Island News Group, New York Times, New York Post and others. We even supply your home with its own Website, which allows us to highlight the assets in more detail and expands its exposure in online searches. While we highly recommend a sign on the property; that is a choice we leave up to you. Your agent will review the ways we will market your home in more detail.  Once listed, we’ll also keep you updated when ads are running as well as give you information about the number of “hits” your house received on various websites.

LINKS may introduce your home to the market with a “Brokers’ Open House” for other local real estate agents, followed or coinciding with, an “Open House” for consumers. Discuss your expectations with regard to “Open Houses” with your agent. Also, discuss your requirements for showings, such as the best ways of communicating with your agent, prior notice, and any other special information such as alarm codes and pets or tenants in the house. Your LINKS agent will also give you feedback on showings, so you can best evaluate how your house is being received by potential buyers.  

The more accessible your home is to show, the better. We hate to have your home unavailable for a viewing when potential home buyers have requested to see your property, but are instead out being shown other homes that are similar to yours. Your agent will make every effort to be very flexible and be present for all showings, even if the appointment is through another agent. Your LINKS agent will strive to make showings the least intrusive to you and your family as possible, respecting your privacy and lifestyle. We are not an agency who typically provides a lockbox, nor do we send another agent with a key to show the house themselves.  We treat your home as if it were our own.
